PREVENTING 2013 FROM BEING ‘A WELL WITHOUT WATER’

YOU MUST READ THIS!
2012 will soon become history. The question is: Will this history be one that will count positively in the eternal legacies of your life? 2012 may pass away, but what echoes will it offer you in the coming year.
We are often encouraged to forget the past and proceed to the future...BUT, friends, there are some pasts that if not made right, could be of eternal disadvantages. There are restitutions you should not forget to make; there are debts that you should never forget to pay. Time does not heal everything, just a few...BUT, the blood of Jesus heals everything, including our sins. Please do not wait to reach the gate of Heaven only to be re-directed to the other side. Should you need to right some wrongs, pay up some debts, cancel someone’s debts they owe you, forgive someone, apologize to someone...whatever it is, try to maximize the remaining hours of the day to put a positive mark on your eternal drive.
Perhaps what you need to open up the wells of your salvation is not the prayer you will pray this night, but a forgiveness you will give to someone who had hurt you. Remember Isaac; he was hurt by the actions of the herdsmen of Gerar because they kept collecting/claiming his wells he dug. Then he dug another well and they did not strive for it because there was no water in it (Gen. 26:22). Unforgiveness had shut up the waters of the wells in Isaac’s life...and it became like a ‘well without water’ (2 Peter 2:17).
From Genesis 26:26; Then the people came to make peace with Isaac, but he did not accept initially. And when Isaac eventually agreed to forgive them for hurting and wronging him, something happened in his life: “And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac's servants came, and told him concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto him, We have found water” (Gen. 26:32).
The very day Isaac forgave and made peace with those people, the well he dug and there was no water, that same well brought forth water. His story changed from being a well without water, and thus with joy, he started drawing waters from the wells of salvation.
It was not prayers that brought the water, it was forgiveness and peace. “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14). If you must see the goodness and the glory of God in 2013, you must make peace first with God, live in holiness, embrace Heaven and escape Hell, prepare for rapture. You must forgive everyone and live in peace with all.
It is good to be involved in the “rituals” of today where many pray their lives out for the coming year...and you will find in church praying those who never went to church throughout this year...and those who never had God in their thoughts throughout will join one church tonight for the “rituals” of entering 2013. But, I tell you the truth, what many need first is peace with God...others need to forgive others, only then can 2013 yield her increase. Many prayers that will be offered today will amount to abomination before God and won’t be heard, because “The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight. The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous” (Prov. 15:8, 29).
As we get ready for 2013, it is my prayer and desire that you shall “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and every other thing (Miracle, Prosperity, Blessing, Victory, etc) shall be added onto you” (Matthew 6:33). It is only when this is done that the year 2013 shall yield her increase.
I wish everyone Happy New Year in advance!
