A GENERATION THAT CALLETH GOD A LIAR

God said to them: “Ye shall not eat of it (the fruit of the tree in the midst of the garden), neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die”. It was a clear word and it was God who said it…the same God who can never lie.
And then the devil came, and he said to Eve, “Ye shall not surely die” (Genesis 3:3, 4).
The devil was telling her that God was lying or was not serious by what He said. He convinced her that God was hiding something (“good”) from them. The devil presented God to her as a liar. And unfortunately, she believed the devil. She indirectly agreed that God lied to them. What a fall!
Is this not what the same old devil is doing today? God has said;
“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind” (1 Cor. 6:9)
“Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God” (Gal. 5:21)
“Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them” (Romans 1:24-32)
These things are clear and many know them, but how come they live contrary to these words of God? It is the same thing that happened to Eve…she was deceived by the devil and took God for a liar. The same way, many people are believing deceptions and living in sin. They have called God a liar without knowing it and some even know it, but the devil has blinded their minds only for such minds to be opened in eternity by which time it is too late.
Anyone living in sin is calling God a liar…they have “changed the truth of God into a lie” (Romans 4:24).
Our generation has become so perverted that it has been said that if God will overlook the sins and wicked attitude of our time, then Sodom and Gomorrah may deserve an apology for the destruction that came upon them. Our generation have called God a liar; how? God says, “Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them” (Romans 1:32). But the devil has succeeded in deceiving many and putting them on the pathways to hell.
“Wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat. Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13, 14).
The road to hell is wide and allows large number of people and many things (fornication, adultery, alcohol, masturbation, smoking, lying, cheating, stealing, etc)…but it is a way that will end in eternal destruction. Many on this way are victims of the lies of the devil.
Friend, I urge you to re-consider your ways before it is too late. God can help you overcome the lifestyle of sin. He can help you live a holy life that will open you up to eternal life.
