NOT THE WAYS OF (NEW YEAR) RESOLUTIONS AGAIN!!!

What we need are not (New Year) resolutions, but a heart borne of transformation. Experience has shown people struggling to keep resolutions. By March, the resolutions have either been broken or not even remembered. Don’t be a part of a life of struggle in 2013. You cannot overcome sin and its desires by making resolutions...it takes transformation. And transformation is only found in God and not on the piece of paper you write resolutions.

In transformation, God writes His laws in our hearts and gives us the grace to live right. This is what is meant by the righteousness of God. Resolution is an attempt at self-righteousness, and God frowns at self-righteousness: “For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God” (Romans 10:3).

It is good to desire to live right, and plan them out, but let it be by surrendering the totality of your life to God. Righteousness is beyond writing down some ‘dos and don’ts’ on paper...it comes by allowing God to inscribe those ‘dos and don’ts’ (His words and instructions) on your heart. Righteousness is not attained through resolutions but by transformation. It is depending on God’s grace and not your efforts or the piece of paper called resolution(s).

Resolutions without transformation is like an arm of the flesh, and it is written, “By strength/the arms of the flesh shall no man prevail” (1 Samuel 2:9). Resolutions are mere letters (The letter killeth, 1 Cor. 3:16); while transformation is a thing of the Spirit (The Spirit giveth life).

Resolution is not what you need in 2013, but transformation...letting go and letting God. The way not to struggle in 2013 is not by resolution but transformation.

“Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2).

Friends, many are making New Year resolutions for 2013, and these resolutions may make it until March 2013, after which they cannot go further. But I show you a better way; transformation (By giving your life to Jesus)...it will take you beyond 2013, and for a lifetime.

PROPHECIES FOR 2013

I heard the word ‘ground’ in my spirit, and I sought in the spirit to know what God was saying. And the Lord lighted upon my heart and spirit and said ‘There are many grounds in 2013’...

1.      SINKING GROUNDS

This came heavily when He said 2013 will be a sinking ground for many churches, ministries, ministers, businesses, etc. This is not because the Lord wants them, but anyone who will live in disobedience, pride and rebellion, they will go down and sink in 2013. He said ‘you will hear news about ministries closing up, ministers sinking, etc’.

I am not bringing an evil report, but for many, 2013 will be like that land referred thus; “A land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof” (Numbers 13:32b).

“But if the Lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord. And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them. And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also” (Numbers 16:30-34).

I charge you friends; flee from every way of life that can sink your destiny in 2013. These men here were among the congregation and leaders in their own regards, but when disobedience, pride, rebellion to God came in, they sank. The status of men becomes insignificant in the eyes of God once those men live on the opposite of God’s character. God is not a respecter of persons. Friend, do not let 2013 be sinking sand for your faith and obedience; do not let 2013 sink you in the ocean of compromise, lukewarmness and backsliding.

Pray this confession with me: “Lord, 2013 will not sink my destiny; 2013 will not sink my prayer life; 2013 will not sink my voice; 2013 will not sink my family, my marriage, my ministry; 2013 will not sink my life; 2013 will not sink my health, my career/job, finances. I shall stand strong in faith in 2013...I shall stand on Christ the solid rock in Jesus’ name”.

2.      HIGHER GROUNDS

Many people will be changing grounds in 2013. Many will be breaking new and bigger grounds and reaching higher heights of manifestations. While some will be folding up, others will be unfolding into greatness. Indeed there shall be a casting down, but God will be lifting up His sons and daughters who will live in OBEDIENCE, FAITH, and HOLINESS. It will be the birth of great end-time ministries who will be “sharp-shooters” of truth.

The present leadership has misplaced focus, and I perceive there is a shift in the spiritual realm to a new band of kingdom soldiers. This shift is called LeaderSHIFT since Leadership has failed at the moment.

He said, DISOBEDIENCE AND PRIDE, (the same way UNHOLINESS) cannot survive 2013. Many will sink because of these.

The Lord said the coming glory of the church and his people is bigger and beyond 2013. But not everyone will partake of this coming glory that is to be revealed, only the few who will live in faith, obedience, and HOLINESS; those who will carry His presence and keep their testimony. What is this testimony? To remain unspotted in the world! “That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish” (Ephesians 5:27).

I pray that we shall be among them who shall step on higher grounds of holiness, faith, obedience, fellowship, spiritual walk, health, exploits, greatness, blessings, and finances in Jesus’ name. “And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein” (Isaiah 35:8).

Welcome to a year of sinking grounds and higher grounds...THE CHOICE IS YOURS!!!

PRAYER OF SALVATION

Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, but I come to you today...I confess my sins and I am ready to forsake my sinful and odd way of life. I ask that you will forgive me my sins, cancel my name from the book of death, and write it in the book of life. I receive eternal life into my spirit. Give me abiding and sustaining grace over sin and help me live my rest for you until I see you face to face and inherit life eternal. Thank you for accepting me today...in Jesus’ name I pray.

Friend, should you have prayed this prayer genuinely, I congratulate you because Heaven just rejoiced over you. “Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth” (Luke 15:10). Heaven celebrates you this day!

I encourage you to guard your new found gift of salvation. Look around for a Bible-believing church around you where you can be helped to grow in the knowledge of God. Share your testimony with other brethren and enjoy the fellowship of the brethren. Pray and read the Bible everyday and share your testimonies with others who need God in their lives also. Above all, let God lead you.

I will also be glad to hear from you and hear your testimony, and also pray along with you. This is what gives us the highest joy. And together, we shall make it to Heaven together. May God help us.

TAKE HEED! AN ETERNAL WARNING FOR US

This is typical of using the name of the Lord in vain! It is shameful and painful and altogether unfortunate what our generation has become all in the name of this faith. Imagine a so-called birthday party for whosoever; they began by playing worldly music...then did opening prayers asking God to take charge...then invited a so-called church choir to minister in songs...and then continued playing secular songs of all kind (including those singing about sexy ladies, etc) and then concluded with a closing prayer. It happened within my vicinage and it was touching and hurting. Is this not tantamount to using the name of the Lord in vain? How long shall we continue dragging the name of the Lord into muddy waters of uncleanliness. Are we truly getting ready for the coming rapture?

Unfortunate! This is the kind of so-called believers this generation is breeding; a worldly church! The church has gone worldly indeed. Is this the bride that is expecting the bridegroom? Is it the same Heaven that Paul, Stephen, etc went to that we are also preparing for? I doubt! But this is what a prosperity centred generation produces; men with little or no fear of God or regards for eternity.

Here are words by a man God took to Hell and Heaven and showed the condition of the church:

“Pastors, evangelists, preachers and missionaries; please excuse me and listen. God has not called you to preach abundance of prosperity or prophecy about that. God has called you to preach holiness and sanctification, because without holiness, nobody will see the lord. Get the word out, get the word of holiness out there and preach it !!!”

But it is a pity that when people raise this observation which has eternal bearing, they are attacked with words and abused of condemning prosperity preachers and messages. Well, the truth is that we have missed it. Many are aware of what God once said, but they are not in the know of what God is saying now. There is a disconnect and this is a way the enemy is blinding many to eternal realities.

Here is another part of the testimony from Heaven:

MONEY FOCUSED & UNFAITHFUL MINISTERS

“Now the Lord started crying when He started to show me the condition of the church. Suddenly I saw a pastor on earth carrying a big suitcase and it was full of money. The Lord told me, ‘These are preachers and evangelists that are getting rich with the offerings because they are preaching lies to my people and letting my people get lost.” I tell you preachers and evangelists, preach Jesus even if you don’t receive tithes and offerings. Sanctify the church!

Suddenly I saw that the money in the suitcase disappeared. I asked the Lord and He told me that “In the same manner his money disappeared, so will he disappear together with the antichrist. But still I have a remnant of my people who are not contaminated.”

I see today how many preachers, pastors, evangelists … are rich and millionaires. However, the members of their church are falling into pieces in poverty, needing food to eat and the pastor is in opulence, not helping them! So many evangelists, multi-millionaires even billionaires in super luxury cars. Where is the Good Samaritan? And I saw many pastors ministering at the altar but I then saw this one pastor finishing ministering that day and leaving his home where his wife was and he left her to meet his lover with whom he lives too!… and she was also a member of his church!”

Finally friend, I encourage you; be sure to strive to live at peace with God, and be sure to tell somebody there is a hell to escape and a Heaven to embrace. We pray that the earth be filled with the saving knowledge of His grace.

“For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” (2Corinthinas 2:4; 2Corinthians 3:5).

We sound this, not that we are sufficient or the best (of men), but,

“That I (we) may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I (we) might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I (we) had already attained, either were already perfect: but I (we) follow after, if that I (we) may apprehend that for which also I am (we are) apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I (we) count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I (we) do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I (we) press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:10-14).

God help us.

ESTABLISHING YOUR BLESSING

This thing about believers saying God will do everything for them isn’t spirituality at all, but perhaps ignorance. They simply say that since God has said it, whether or not they do anything about it, it shall come to pass. Sounds “spiritual” but indeed, it is error. So, God will pray for you, fast for you, help you study the Bible to locate God’s promises, believe them for you, etc. Hmmm. This is not faith. God has said many things about you, but you have to establish them through prayers and faith. Every word of promise and prophecy would remain hanging until the prayer of faith is released. This is the law of divine establishment of God’s promises.

 Look at this: God told Elijah that He (God) was going to send rain upon the earth after three and half years (1 Kings 18:1). That was an assurance enough for anointed Elijah to perhaps go and sleep expecting the rain to come since that was God’s word. But he did not…He knew that as much as God’s words are forever settled in Heaven, yet for there to be earthly manifestation there must be prayer connection. So, after he (Elijah) had declared to Ahab (according to God’s word) that rain was coming, Elijah went up and “cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees…and he prayed AGAIN, and the Heaven gave rain” (1 kings 18:41-42; James 5:18). The covenant of God to send rain was converted from its raw spiritual form into a visible earthly manifestation by the tool of prayer.

Stop believing God to pray for you or do your responsibility; stop running from one prayer/spiritual house to another searching for who will pray to God for you…who says God cannot hear your voice? When last did you spend time in prayers? When was the last time your voice sounded in Heaven? Have you not read that “the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand” (Rev. 8:4)? Many believers can spend a night watching movies, but cannot spend 1 hour at night to pray…yet they go about talking about one blessing that is delaying. It takes the prayer (of faith) to establish your blessing. Pray! You are blessed.

10 IMPACTS OF THE WORD OF GOD

1.      LIFE

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (And) In him was life...” (John 1:1, 4). “Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live” (Psalm 119:116). “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. For they are life unto those that find them” (Proverbs 4:20, 22)

-          The word of God cancels any covenant or expectation of death over your life.

2.      HEALING

“He sent his word, and healed them...” (Psalm 107:20a). “My son, attend to my words; For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:20, 22).

-          The word of God brings healing against any illness and sickness, and it also has the power to keep you from falling sick and to live in perfect divine health.

3.      OVERCOMING DARKNESS

“And the light (the word) shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not” (John 1:5).

-          Powers of darkness and the enemies can neither abide nor operate where the word of God dwells. When God’s word lives and is at work in your life, your presence dispels and destroys the works of darkness. Enemies, witchcraft, occult, etc bow to God’s word.

4.      DELIVERANCE

““He sent his word and delivered them from their destructions” (Psalm 107:20a)”.

-          Many do not realize that the deliverance they run to and fro to seek lies in the word of God. When you stand on the word and pray the word of God into your life it becomes like you are upon mount Zion, and the same word says “upon mount Zion, there is deliverance” (Obadiah 1:17).

5.      DIRECTION

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105). “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left” (Isaiah 30:21).

-          The word of God gives direction and definition to purpose in life. The word is like a pilot’s compass, without it, directions are missed. Hold onto God’s word and ask Him for direction in your life and He will show you the way to go.

6.      POWER

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword...” (Hebrews 4:12a). “And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power” (Luke 4:32).

-          God’s word carries power to which every other power submits. When you apply God’s word, you are applying God’s power, and nothing can stand in the way of God’s word because it is a manifestation of God’s power. When you carry the word, you are not an ordinary man...the Bible says you are “honourable”,

7.      SUSTENANCE

“And upholding all things by the word of his power” (Hebrews 1:3). “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God” (Hebrews 11:3).

-          God’s  word has a sustaining capacity and able to hold things in place. It can hold your relationship, finances, and career in place. It can hold your life in place. Nothing that is hung on God’s word can fall.

8.      CREATIVITY

“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3).

-          Have you heard about creative miracles, where women who had their wombs previously removed received new wombs and gave birth? This is the working of the word of God. It has the capacity to create what hitherto was inexistent.

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” (Hebrews 11:3).

-          God used His word to create the world. You can apply the world and bring forth things into your life.

9.      KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments” (Psalm 111:10). “I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation” (Psalm 119:99)

-          When the word of God dwells richly in you it has a quickening effect on your level of understanding and knowledge of issues in relation to your career and line of operation. The word in us stirs up the life of excellence. It was the word in the lives of Joseph, Daniel, and others that made them excel above their equals.

“Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows” (Psalm 45:7; Hebrew 1:9)

10.   HOLINESS

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee” (Psalm 119:11). “Every word of God is pure” (Proverbs 30:5).

-          God’s word purifies us and makes us holy.

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17). “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you” (John 15:3).

Dear friend, the list is inexhaustible, but I have presented to you 10 of the virtues of God’s word. God’s word is God Himself. Many times we find ourselves living below what God hath ordained for us in His word. This is never the expectation of God for His children. The way to live above the world is not to run away from the world, but to live by the word. God’s word is the manual to a life of True Greatness. As you study, may God’s word find perfect expression in every sphere of your life. Grace.
