WHEN THE LORD IS WITH YOU (I)

“Isaac asked them, “Why have you come to me, since you were hostile to me and sent me away?” They answered, “We saw clearly that the Lord was with you; so we said ‘There ought to be a sworn agreement between us and you...that you will do us no harm, just as we did not molest you but always treated you well and sent you away in peace. And now you are blessed by the LORD’” (Gen. 26:27-29).

The same people who troubled him before, the same people came to reconcile with him, to beg him, to make peace with him. They discovered that despite their hostilities and “bad-belle”, Isaac was making progress and getting blessed. They initially did not like him, but they ended up not having a choice than to come to beg and apologise. What was responsible for this sudden turn around? Remember they said, “WE SAW CLEARLY THAT THE LORD WAS WITH YOU”. It was the presence of God in the life of Isaac that made those who did not want him to start looking for him.

Do not proceed in 2013 unless you are sure you carry the presence of God. If you lack money, no problem; if you lack friends, no problem, but if you lack the presence of God in your life, there is a big problem. The presence of God attracts the glory of God into your life...and even when they don’t like your story, they cannot deny “your” glory. God’s presence will distinguish you in 2013 and even your enemies will come and make peace with you.
