Elijah
was in the brook which supplied him water while the birds (Ravens) brought him
food. Elijah was doing well. Then suddenly the brook dried up after a
while...the water was no longer coming. It appeared like what was the man’s
channel had blocked. But I like what Elijah did; he moved on and did not look
back. He committed his trust onto God, and God led him to another place where
help came for him.
In
life we experience situations like Elijah’s. There are times when your earthly
source of livelihood, food, clothing, shelter, money, etc just goes dry. Those
times when it seems the person helping you just dries up and the help stops
coming. Sometimes the person might just decide to stop assisting you. Many find
themselves in this situation; when help of the helpers fail and comfort flees.
Friend,
like Elijah, look onto God and move to where He leads you. Remember that there
is a difference between a channel and a source. Everyone who helps/assists you
is not your source, they are mere channels; God is the source. It is possible
for a channel (human being) to close up, but it is never possible for the
source (God) to close down. In Nigeria we have oil; I am sure you know that if
the pipelines are blocked it does not mean the oil at source has finished.
The
truth is that when one channel does not close another may not open. If one man
refuses to help you, God can raise 10 men to help you.
“And he answered and said unto
them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would
immediately cry out” (Luke 19:40).
If
men will refuse to help you, God will raise help from unexpected places and
sources.
Many
are engrossed in tears because their channels of income (job, helper, etc) have
dried up and they fail to see what God has set ahead for them. Today, I
encourage you, your destiny is not in the hand of a man, if it were, it would
have been possible to break it. Your destiny is in the hands of God, and it is
unbreakable. Start focusing on the next thing God wants to do in your
life...move from the past.
God
bless you.
