<<<GUARD YOUR PLACE IN THE KINGDOM
TEXT: ACTS 1:20-22
Everyone has a designated place in
God’s kingdom. You must do all it requires of you to keep your place in the
pursuit of Heaven and in the fulfilment of God’s counsel and purpose for your
life. Don’t allow another person take your place. I pray for you that your
place will not be declared vacant while you are still here.
-
Saul lost his place in the kingdom. He was still
breathing, yet his place was declared vacant and God raised David to fill it
up.
-
Eli the priest was still alive but his place was
declared vacant, and Samuel was raised by God to fill his place.
-
Judas Iscariot lost his place, and another took his
mantle and mandate.
-
Even in the ark, Noah sent the raven on assignment,
but shortly after, the same vacancy was declared open and the dove was raised
to fill it up. It is interesting that the raven thought it was doing the work,
whereas another bird had been given his place.
-
I mentioned some days ago how Kathryn Kulman
maintained that the mandate she fulfilled was another man’s mandate. According to
her the man failed to fulfil the mandate and it was given to her.
-
This is so serious that Paul sent a message to
Archippus: “Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that
thou fulfil it” (Colossians 4:17). Many have received purpose and
counsels from God, but they are less bothered about them and are pursuing other.
Spiritual vacancies in the kingdom
are created for many reasons;
Firstly, when a man ignores divine
purpose which is his real and primary purpose for living, God can give his
place to another. This is usually the case when a man pursues something other
than God’s will.
Secondly, when an individual takes
kingdom assignment with levity and moves at snail’s speed whereas the King’s
business requires haste, God can raise another man to do the work.
Thirdly, when sin takes over a man’s
life and grace is extinguished, the man is pushed aside from the narrow way,
and his place given to another.
Fourthly, when a man enters a
higher platform of grace and manifestation, where he used to occupy becomes
vacant. This was Elijah’s case. And several others!
Friend how is your place in the
race; how is your place in the kingdom? Is your name still in the Book of Life;
are you still on the race to Heaven? Are you still pursuing God’s purpose for
your life or money, relationship, lukewarmness and others have given another your
place? It is time to run, time is no more! You can meet up, overtake and
recover…yes you can, by God’s grace.
