Wrong associations have landed many in wrong destinations in life and some proceeded into wrong eternity. That was the summary of yesterday’s focus on SPIRIT SWORD DEVOTIONAL as we continue to unveil the enemy’s masterpiece in attempting to pull many from the faith and out of the Heavenly race.

Today, as we gradually cap up on this series we look at yet another device of the enemy – DECEPTION. The devil is working hard at deceiving not just the elect but even the unbelievers. This generation is so sign-driven and miracle-crazy and the devil has these in high supply.

There are several (false) doctrines today which are deceptive tools of the enemy. And many who knew the truth have become confused and followed the path of error.

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect” (Matthew 24:24)

Several strange voices are saying strange things and confusing vulnerable believers. What used to be sin (and still is by God’s standard) have been re-named and re-packaged with sugary scriptures and many people have settled for error in the names of freedom, grace and faith. The truth is that sin may change face and change name, but it has not changed fate and wage, “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23a).

For the unbelievers, they have become comfortable in their sins even while in church because of deceptive gospel of liberty, entertainment gospel among others which is sold to them. Many are deceived and have refused the truth. In eternity, the truth will speak but will be too late.

Friend, what doctrine do you hold to that is not of God? “For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist” (2 John 1:7). It is not everyone that calls the name of God that is from God. It is not everywhere there is signboard that there is church. It is not everything that appears white that is pure. It is not everywhere there is miracle that God is working. Any miracle however mighty that has no connection with true salvation and holiness is a trap. Watch…the atmosphere of the end-time is saturated with deception. Stand for the truth and represent God in full. Shalom.
