Elijah
performed 16 miracles in his life time. Elisha got double portion of this power
and was covenanted to perform double of Elijah's. However, after the 31st
miracle, Elisha became sick and died. I imagine people discussing that alas the
covenant of double-portion did not work and it is not unlikely that some of
them may have been questioning the ability of God to fulfill His word. But
because
God
can never be a liar; He kept Elisha "alive" even in the grave. And
then one day they were burying a dead man and suddenly they let down the man's
corpse...and immediately the corpse touched the bones of Elisha, the dead man
woke up! And then Elisha's miracles clocked 32, exactly double of Elijah. And I
believe it was after that last miracle that Elisha died truly.
Friend,
whatever God has said about you, no matter the circumstances, maybe sickness or
financial setback, just remember connected to God in true worship and
righteousness...and with the anchor of mercy, you shall not die until you
accomplish that divine covenant of greatness.
