REFORMATION HAS NO ETERNAL LIFE-LINE, BUT TRANSFORMATION DOES

It is important because many still confuse the two, and it won't be good to enter eternity before realizing the difference between REFORMATION and TRANSFORMATION.
Reformation is never transformation. It has no eternal relevance...but transformation is the transportation license to eternal life. Unfortunately we celebrate reformation, but however we paint it, it can never replace salvation which is the bedrock for a life of transformation. The bible says ‘we all are being transformed into His likeness from glory to glory’ (2 Corinthians 5:17)...it did not say we are being "reformed" into His likeness. Glory follows a transformed life not a reformed life.
Now, when someone loses a loved one, say a spouse, he/she is deeply touched, and could at that point decide to give up a way of life like alcohol, promiscuity, etc. Many people look at the person and say he/she has "changed" and many times, such are mistaken to have become Born Again. But in truth, that person yielded to the atmosphere of circumstances and it birth reformation and not salvation/transformation.
Reformation is good because it helps the society to be peaceful. This is why people are kept in prison so as to become reformed (only few get transformed). When OBJ came out of prison, people perhaps mistook his reformation for transformation and there were widespread speculations that he had become Born Again...but by fruits we could see which took place (I judge no man).
Am I saying reformation is not good? No. But I am saying there is a more excellent way to live...and this is the one that will not end here on earth but reverberates in eternity. Unfortunately, we have a society and even in the church where many have mistaken reformation for transformation. This is one reason many will hear "depart from me, for I never knew you". They will be surprised just like others, by then they would realize that they had thrived on the wheels of reformation and were blinded to salvation.
Are you a chorister, usher, gospel singer, etc...There is a need to be sure you did not graduate into your present status on the anchor of reformation. Perhaps they found you as a quiet, humble or talented individual and you were invited to help and now you are so grounded in there that you have forgotten your foundation as reformation and not salvation. Everyone including yourself may forget, but there are two personalities that can never forget...the first is God and of course, the second that is waiting to raise it up against you in judgment is the devil.
Are you "following" Him by reformation or by transformation? It's not too late to answer that question now...it can only be too late in eternity.
God bless you as you make that lifetime decision.
