“In the last days, God says, I will
pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your
young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. Even on My
servants, both men and women” (Acts 2: 17-18).
But
today, we despise this scripture. God has been fulfilling this scripture in our
days as part of the end-time move and preparation of God's people for the
Lord's coming (rapture and judgement), giving visions (of Heaven and Hell) to
many, giving dreams of same to many, confirming signs through His word. But,
perhaps because these visions often reprove of human carnal tendencies and warn
sharply against eternity to come, we push arguments that christianity is not
based on people's visions but on the word. Certainly yes! The truth is that,
these visions never seek to contradict God's word, rather they are confirmatory
of the same word. So, are we not despising this same word by despising these
same visions which are sent to confirm the word.
The
same way when Jesus came, John the Baptist was asking whether He was the one or
they should await another;
"And John calling unto him two
of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or
look we for another?" (Luke 7:19).
This
looks like it today; God says in the last days (in which we are) He will by His
Spirit bring forth visions and dreams. And now, the visions and dreams as He
said are coming yet we despise them, saying we cannot learn or be
corrected/instructed by them.
Beloved,
let us not allow the enemy in the guise of "upholding" the word
deceive us from the words of the Lord coming through select visions and dreams
given to some people among us. Only that we should be sensitive to discern
between confirmatory and contradictory divine revelations.
God
bless.
