>>> SECRETS OF EFFECTIVE PRAYING
TEXT: Isaiah 65:24
Today we round off the prayer series by looking at a few more
secrets for provoking answers to prayers.
(1) ENGAGE
INTERCESSORY PRAYERS (Job 42:10)
“And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends:
also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.”
Don’t be the only one on your prayer list. Your prayer points
should not be limited to you alone. To pray (and live) for yourself is to limit
your step. Daniel prayed for himself and his people and Heaven responded fast
(Daniel 9:20-21). When you pray for others your own prayers seem to be
fast-forwarded with quick answers.
(2) BE A
COMMITTED WORSHIPPER (John 4:23)
Praise and worship are
altars upon which prayers thrive. God personally attends to worship, so to
combine worship with prayers is to give “edge” to your voice to be heard.
(3) PRAY AT
NIGHT (Luke 6:12)
Stop sleeping all your nights! Stay up some nights to pray.
The night time is power time. Visitations happen several at nights.
(4) PRAY IN
THE SPIRIT (Ephesians 6:18)
Pray in your understanding; pray in the Spirit. The Spirit
quickeneth, even prayers! (John 6:63).
(5) NEVER
GIVE UP ON GOD!
Pray without ceasing. Even after you have prayed and prayed
and yet it seems nothing is happening, pray again. Elijah prayed seven times
before the cloud that brought rain appeared. What if he gave up at the sixth
time?! Many give up at the verge of breaking through in the place of prayers.
People who don’t give up on God never lack answers from God…ask. You must pray
always (Luke 18:1-5).
(6) COMBINE
WITH FASTING
Daniel prayed and fasted (Daniel 9:3). Jesus prayed and
fasted. There are certain things that answer to prayers combined with fasting
(Mark 9:29).
