GETTING ANSWERS TO PRAYERS (1)

>>> SECRETS OF EFFECTIVE PRAYING
TEXT: Isaiah 65:24
There are certain (wrong) impressions which have been created about prayers which have not helped those concerned. On SPIRIT SWORD today as we continue the blessed series on prayers we look intently are three (3) of these wrong foundations that affect salvation and prayers.
(1) That God only hears a particular set of people and not others
This is error! People think when they pray God cannot hear them but can only hear their pastors, so they remain prayerless and run from one man of God to another; one church to another all in the search for prayers.
If you are a believer and you live in God’s will, pleasing Him, God will hear you when you pray (John 9:31).
(2) That God won’t hear you because of the sins/mistakes you made in the past even after you have repented and restituted
If this is how God is, then the likes of Rahab the prostitute would not have had hope of salvation and someone like Apostle Paul would have had no future in God and in Heaven. Once a person genuinely repents and does appropriate restitution (where indicated), anything bringing condemnation against him/her is not from God. God forgives and forgets provided you repented genuinely.
Now, it is possible to suffer a consequence of a past misdeed, for example; a woman who lost the womb following a densely immoral life –she will face infertility in the future. But for the fact she accepts Jesus genuinely, when she prays in faith God can put another womb their and she would conceive.
(3) That God only hears prayers on a particular mountain or in a particular church
It is not uncommon to hear some men of God boast with testimonies of miracles as if they are the doers. Some would condemn other churches and advertise their services for people to attend, even saying God hears prayers only in their places. Don’t be deceived; God is omnipresent and can hear you when you call with a genuine heart of faith. There are times you may choose to be separated so as to seek God…this is for concentrated devotion and quietness and not because God lives on some mountains.
More so, it is possible you are in an atmosphere where God’s word has been made of none effect (Mark 7:13). It is only wise for you to move from there.
Beloved, God can hear you also. It is not anointing that determines if God would hear or not, it is your heart. You may not be as anointed as they are, yet God would hear you and not “them.” After all, it is not just age but grace – Saul was older than David, but Goliath does not bow to age but to grace. And if you are saved, you have grace.
