HE MAY BE YOUR FATHER, BUT DO NOT TOUCH HIS GLORY!

Heaven has zero tolerance to self-glory!
When Herod killed James, it seems God spared him. When he took Peter and put him in prison, God spared him. In fact, when the angel went to rescue Peter, Herod was asleep, and the angel could have just stopped over and killed him for touching the Lord’s anointed, but he was spared. When he killed (murdered) innocent soldiers guarding the prison Peter was kept, God still spared him. But when he touched God's glory, Heaven killed him. It was an angel that even struck him dead. I think the angel killed him because the angel knew the implication of what it means to take God’s glory. The angel did not have to first go and seek God’s “consent/approval” on whether Herod should die. He killed him there, and perhaps would give report later. Why? Heaven has zero tolerance to a man taking the glory of God to himself. It was like hell could not wait for him to reach hell, and so worms started eating him right from where he was.
LESSON: Do not touch the glory meant for God. Heaven has zero tolerance to this. (Isaiah 42:8).
God can show you his glory - He showed Moses. God can reveal His glory in your life, work, ministry - Solomon encountered it. But, it is calamitous to think the glory is yours in all of these. The glory is God's, and because he is your Father does not mean you should take His glory.
Whatever God is doing through you is not because you are the best…it is for His glory. So, never allow people cultivate the attitude of heaping praises to you…when they do, return the glory to God, and as much as possible, let men know that you deserve zero glory for whatever they are seeing – it is the Lord!
Maranatha.
