CONNECTING WITH GOD’S FIRE (1)

Why does a believer need the Fire of God in his/her life?
God created us in His image and likeness. We are made in God’s nature. One dimension of this nature is HOLINESS. Because God is Holy, nothing short of Holiness can connect to Him. So, God expects us to be Holy (1 Peter 1:16; Matthew 5:48). When you are Holy, it becomes easy for you to blend with God in Holiness and also to benefit from the virtues of the kingdom.
Another dimension of the nature of God is FIRE. God is a “consuming fire” (Hebrews 12:29). If God, being fire, leaves us to be anything short of fire, there will be problem…the fellowship will not flow. One reason why God created man is for fellowship. And this fellowship involves a rubbing together of the virtues in Him with His (those same) virtues in us. So, assuming God, being Fire, makes us to be stones, there will be no fellowship. Therefore, God made us to be fire: “Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire” (Psalm 104:4).
If you want to operate at the level of God, you must operate at the level of fire. This is the place of hot fellowship with divinity. It takes fire to connect Fire. If you want to connect to Heaven and maintain an increased measure of unction to function and anointing to remain on top and untouchable by the enemy, then you need The Fire of God in your life. Fire attracts fire!
FOR MORE UNDERSTANDING, I ADVICE YOU TO GET THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES:
1.      Connecting With The Nature of Divinity
2.      The Fire of God in an Island of Coldness
3.      The Essence of Spiritual Fire
Meanwhile, I shall make references to some of these teachings and others not listed here from time to time.
Among the numerous things God’s fire will accomplish in your life and destiny is the elimination of coldness. Coldness has no place where fire dwells. Let us consider two (2) manifestations of coldness in a man’s life:
i.                    Coldness is the reason for increased vulnerability to temptation.
Coldness in a man’s life sets the man at the edge of compromise. It is a season where anything goes in his life. Even those things he used to see as wrong, during coldness he entertains them around his life and even in his life.
When a man’s life is cold that is the period the devil comes visiting. If there is fire, the devil maintains his distance. When you find that you sin so easily and/or you cannot resist temptation, check yourself, your life is cold.
Peter found himself in a cold place:
“And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself” (John 18:18).
That was the beginning of Peter’s journey to denying Jesus. Ask me, the moment Peter’s environment became cold that was the moment he actually denied Jesus. What took place later was just a physical manifestation of a spiritual fall. See what Peter did; his life was cold, so he just hung around people who lighted a strange fire. This is what happens to any cold believer, they find comfort in strange fires.
ii.                  Coldness is a thriving medium for the enemy to attack and oppress a man.
If a place is wet, reptiles will hide there and also wreck havocs. If a place is cold, the devil and his agents (demons, witches, occult, etc) will have unrestrained access. You will pity Christians who are cold or lukewarm (neither hot nor cold, Revelations 3:16).
Look at Paul;
“And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold. And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.” (Acts 28:2-3).
The snake was hiding there because of the coldness, but the moment a man of Fire (Paul) came and lighted fire, the place became too hot for the enemy to hide.
If you do not carry fire, your life will be like a playing ground for the enemies. If Elijah didn’t carry fire, those armies would have arrested him and terminated his ministry without mercy (2 Kings 1:9-14). If an enemy will not let you rest, apply the language of fire, and they will leave you, your family and your future alone.
Now, let us explore the Fire Class 2:
-          Pray in tongues for a minimum of 45 minutes every day.
“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 1:20).
You have to be a tongue blasting believer. Speaking in tongue is a language of the kingdom. No demon, not even the devil understands the language of tongues. The benefits of speaking in tongues is another class teaching on its own. Tongues lift up your spiritual frequency to heights of fire and sanctification.
-          Pray at night for a minimum of 45 minutes at least 3 times in a week
Night time is power time. I have taught on the power of the night time in the past. We shall try to re-visit that and review here if God permits. It is an error for you to sleep all your nights.
-          Fast at least 2 times in a week.
Make a commitment timetable of fasting by choosing your personal days of fasting in a week. And, the time to break your fast is not 12 noon or 3 pm…it is minimum of 6pm!! Too much eating and a “fast-less” life allows the enemies to operate.
-          Pray a minimum of 2 hours in total every day
-          Worship a minimum of 15 minutes everyday
-          You must tell someone about Jesus every day, whether by personal one-on-one evangelism or via tract sharing.
You are not completely dressed as a believer when you do not have tracts on you (inside your pocket, your bags, or your Bible).
-          Spend a minimum of 1 hour studying the Bible every day
-          Read at least 15 chapters of the Bible every day. This is well aided with the use of the audio Bible. Please note that this is does not prevent your regular daily systematic/routine Bible study.
Look at this: you can actually finish the Bible in one month if you read/listen to 40 chapters every day. This is one class we shall surely come to one day. Glory!
-          In all, be sure you spend not less than a total of 2 hours 30 minutes with the Lord every day.
CONCLUSION
Fellowshipping with God is the sweetest experience one can have. It is important to note that this class schedules could be affected by work or school for some, and this is why we are encouraged to maximize our night periods.
QUESTIONS FOR YOU: How many hours do you spend sleeping every day? When was the last time you saw the time at 2 am? Perhaps you sleep too much?!
For as many who are willing, God is blowing the winds of revival in this end time, and raising men for the harvest, even as we wait the return of the Lord. And one thing that you need to make the rapture is The Fire of God…Elijah had it and it was easy for him to be “raptured” to Heaven on the chariots of fire. May God’s pour His fire upon our lives in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Stay rapturable.
